Chances are if you half walked into a BestBuy or other big electronics store you saw these.
They have some good and bad features about them, and I want to go over that now.
The good:
* A rather large screen, usually at least 20 inches
* Space saving design means you don't see a clunky box
The bad:
* One of the things going for the standard desktop machine is the fact that virtually everything in them can be replaced and/or repaired. These all in one units are more like a laptop computer taped to the back of a large monitor.
Which means they are not as repairable as a desktop computer is. Keep in mind though, that nothing in the home computer genre (Desktop, Laptop, Netbook, Tablet and All in one units) are as repairable as the desktop units. For repair-ability, the desktops always win.
* The price. These models are not as repairable as the desktops, yet many times are more expensive (because the monitor is included, and because they are slimlined).
These models are not as portable as the Laptop/Netbook/Tablet, and again are usually more expensive.
The exception to this rule being gamer laptops and gamer desktops.
My conclusion: These machines do have a place for someone who doesn't want a laptop, but also does not want a big bulky box taking up valuable desk/shelf/floor space.
Here at Denny's Computers we always strive for good reliable internet email and office machines, and so I am listing below the best machine I could find for that purpose.
